Explore Wind Energy with DIY Turbines 綠能風力發電機模型製作

February 17, 2025 – Students at Jhutang Elementary School took part in a hands-on wind power model activity to learn about green energy and electricity generation.

First, they learned how wind energy works and how it can be turned into electricity. Then, they received parts like blades, motors, and stands to build their own wind turbines.

After building the models, students used a fan to simulate wind and test if their turbines could create power. They observed how the turbines moved and how electricity was made.

At the end, students showed their work and talked about how wind energy can help the Earth. Some students also added creative designs with acrylic decorations, while advanced students tried using LED lights to show how wind power can light things up.

It was a fun and meaningful way to explore science, energy, and creativity!

2025年2月17日，竹塘國小的學生參加了一場實作的風力發電模型活動，學習有關綠色能源與電力產生的知識。

首先，學生們了解風能的運作原理，以及風如何轉換成電力。接著，他們收到葉片、馬達和支架等零件，親手組裝自己的風力發電機。

模型組裝完成後，學生們用電風扇模擬風力，測試他們的風力發電機是否能夠產生電力。他們觀察風扇帶動風扇葉轉動的情況，以及電是如何被產生的。

活動最後，學生們展示自己的作品，並討論風能如何幫助地球。有些學生還加上壓克力裝飾設計展現創意，進階的學生則利用LED燈展示風力如何點亮燈光。

這是一場結合科學、能源與創意的有趣又有意義的學習體驗！

School Flea Market Brings Fun and Kindness 跳蚤市場傳遞歡樂與愛心

January 16, 2025 – Students joined a fun and meaningful school flea market held in the activity center.First, they learned the goal of the event—to protect the Earth and help people in need.

Students brought second-hand items from home. They set up booths, made price tags, and decorated their tables.During the market, students and teachers bought and sold many things. The students learned how to buy and sell items and how to communicate politely with others.

After the event, the students counted the money and donated it to people in need.It was a happy day full of learning, sharing, and love!

2025年1月16日，學生們在學生活動中心參加了一場既有趣又有意義的校園跳蚤市場活動。活動一開始，他們了解了此次舉辦的目的——保護地球並幫助有需要的人。

學生們從家中帶來二手物品，自行布置攤位、製作價格標籤，並裝飾自己的桌子。在市集進行時，學生與老師們熱情買賣，學生們學習了如何進行交易與禮貌溝通的技巧。

活動結束後，學生們一同清點所得款項，並將其捐給需要幫助的人。這是一個充滿學習、分享與愛心的快樂日子！

Animal Protection Talk 動物保護宣導講座

January 8, 2025 – The students joined a special talk about animal protection. Mr. Cha, an animal police officer, came to the school to share important ideas. He told the students that loving animals means protecting them.

The students learned how to care for animals and be kind to all living things. It was a meaningful lesson about respect and compassion.

Winter Solstice – Making Tangyuan Together 冬至搓湯圓

December 19, 2024 – Students joined a fun Winter Solstice activity in the student activity center.

First, they learned about the meaning of this special day and how Tangyuan (sweet rice balls) stand for family and togetherness in Chinese culture.

They used glutinous rice flour, food coloring, and fillings to make Tangyuan by hand.

The principal also joined the students in making Tangyuan.

 Everyone enjoyed the tradition, worked together, and had a great time!

2024年12月19日，學生們在學生活動中心參加了一場有趣的冬至活動。

首先，他們了解冬至這個特別節日的意義，以及湯圓在中華文化中象徵著家庭團圓與和睦。

接著，學生們使用糯米粉、食用色素與餡料，親手搓湯圓。校長也一同參與製作，與學生們同樂。

大家一起體驗傳統習俗，齊心協力，度過了一段溫馨又快樂的時光！

Celebrate the Season with Christmas Cookies學生烘焙聖誕餅乾迎佳節

 December 18, 2024 – Students at Jhutang Elementary School enjoyed a festive Christmas cookie-making activity in the school kitchen as part of their food and farming education.

The activity began with an introduction to the ingredients. Students learned where flour, eggs, and other baking items come from, and why they are good for our health.

Next, they mixed the dough and practiced shaping it by hand. Using cookie cutters and colorful icing, they created fun and creative Christmas designs.

After baking the cookies, students observed how the dough changed in the oven and learned about temperature control during baking.

At the end, everyone got to taste their homemade cookies and share their thoughts with classmates. It was a sweet, hands-on experience full of learning, creativity, and holiday cheer!

Jhutang Students Grow Mushrooms at School太空菇包種植

in mid-December 2024, as part of a fun food and farming activity, students at Jhutang Elementary School learned how to grow mushrooms using special mushroom grow bags.

First, the students learned how mushrooms grow and why they’re good for our health. Inside the bags, they saw white threads called mycelium, which help mushrooms grow.

Each day, they checked the temperature and moisture to take care of the mushroom grow bags. Soon, little mushrooms began to appear!

When the mushrooms were ready, the students picked them by hand. It was exciting to grow food by themselves, and they felt happy and proud of their harvest.

竹塘國小正在進行一項有趣的食農教育活動，學生學習如何利用特殊的香菇栽培袋來種植香菇。

首先，學生們了解香菇是如何生長的，以及香菇對健康有什麼好處。他們在栽培袋裡看到稱為菌絲的白色線狀物，這些菌絲能幫助香菇生長。

每天，學生們都會檢查溫度和濕度，細心照顧這些香菇栽培袋。沒多久，小香菇就慢慢冒出來了！

當香菇成熟時，學生們親手採收。能自己種出食物讓他們感到興奮，也為自己的收穫感到開心和驕傲。

Language Contest Week 語文競賽週

From December 9 to13, 2024 – Jhutang Elementary School held Language Contest Week in the library. Many students joined the contests and tried their best.

At the beginning, the teacher explained the rules and encouraged everyone to take part.

There were five contests:

Writing – Students wrote a short composition on their own.

Mandarin Reading – They read a passage aloud with a clear voice and good expression.

Taiwanese Reading – Students read in Taiwanese to show their language skills.

Mandarin Speech – They gave a short speech about a topic.

Word Sound and Character Form – students saw a Chinese character and wrote its Mandarin phonetic symbols. 

Then, they saw the sound and wrote the correct Chinese character.

Each contest had judges. The students worked hard and showed great spirit. It was a fun week full of learning and language!

2024年12月9日至13日，竹塘國小在圖書館舉辦了語文競賽週，許多學生踴躍參加，盡力表現。

活動一開始，老師說明了比賽規則，並鼓勵大家積極參與。

本次活動共舉辦五項競賽：

寫作比賽 — 學生獨立完成一篇短文寫作。

國語朗讀 — 學生以清晰的聲音與良好的表情朗讀指定文章。

台語朗讀 — 學生以臺灣母語朗讀內容，展現語言能力。

國語演說 — 學生針對一個主題發表簡短演講。

注音與字形比賽 — 學生看到一個國字，寫出正確的注音符號；接著看到一個音，寫出對應的國字。

每項比賽都有評審老師參與評分。學生們全力以赴，展現出優秀的語文精神。

這是一週充滿學習與語言樂趣的精彩活動！

Bicycle Licensing Activity 腳踏車考照活動

On December 4th, and we have some exciting news to share!

Jhutang Elementary School held a bicycle licensing activity. Students learned about traffic signs, practiced their cycling skills, and followed safety rules. They even got to ride on a simulated road!

It was a fun and safe way to learn how to be great riders. Let's give a big round of applause to everyone who participated!

Make Mushroom Pizza in Bilingual Cooking Class 雙語烹飪課自製洋菇披薩

November 25, 2024 – Students at Jhutang Elementary School enjoyed a delicious and educational bilingual cooking activity by making mushroom pizza!

First, they learned the English names of ingredients such as mushroom, cheese, and flour, and talked about their nutritional value. Then, they prepared the dough by hand and learned how it rises during fermentation.

Next, the students placed toppings on their pizzas while using English to name each ingredient. They observed the baking process and talked about oven time and temperature.

Finally, they tasted their homemade pizzas and shared their thoughts in English. It was a fun, hands-on lesson that combined language learning with real-life cooking skills.

2024年11月25日，竹塘國小學生透過製作香菇披薩，參加了一場美味又有教育意義的雙語烹飪活動！

一開始，學生們學習了食材的英文名稱，如洋菇（mushroom）、起司（cheese）、麵粉（flour），並討論這些食材的營養價值。接著，他們親手揉麵團，了解發酵過程中麵團如何膨脹。

Jhutang Students Share Policy Messages Through Art 政令宣導藝文比賽活動

On November 22, 2024, students at Jhutang Elementary School joined a special art contest in the school’s activity center. The goal was to help students learn about government policies through art.

Students could choose to do calligraphy or drawing. Some wrote important phrases using beautiful brushwork. Others used pictures and colors to share policy messages in creative ways.

After the artwork was finished, it was put on display. Teachers and judges looked at the work and chose the winners.

The contest was a fun way for students to learn, be creative, and think about real-life topics. Everyone did a great job!

2024年11月22日，竹塘國小的學生在學校活動中心參加了一場特別的藝術比賽。這項比賽的目的是透過藝術幫助學生了解政府政策。

Experience Bricklaying at Yuandou Career Discovery Class 職業探索課程

November 5, 2024 – Students from Jhutang Elementary School visited Yuandou Elementary and Junior High School to take part in a fun and hands-on Career Discovery class about building a house!

Wearing safety helmets, the students learned how to mix and spread cement and even tried it themselves. They also discovered that each side of a brick has a name and explored different ways to lay bricks.

The students shared that the activity was both fun and exciting. Some enjoyed spreading cement on the wall, while others were happy to design and build their own small houses. Even when a little cement fell on the ground, students felt proud of trying something new.

Everyone said it was a great experience, and they look forward to joining again next time!

2024年11月5日，竹塘國小的學生前往原斗國中小，參加一場有趣又實作的職業探索課程，親身體驗「蓋房子」的樂趣！

學生們戴上安全帽，學習如何攪拌與塗抹水泥，並親自動手嘗試。他們還發現每塊磚頭的不同面都有名稱，並認識了各種砌磚的方法。

學生們表示這項活動既好玩又刺激。有的同學喜歡把水泥塗在牆上，有的則開心地設計並建造自己的小房子。即使不小心把水泥弄到地上，大家仍為自己勇於嘗試新事物感到驕傲。

所有人都認為這是一個很棒的體驗，並期待下次再參加！

Jhutang Students Make Punk Robot Keychains 朋克風機器人鑰匙圈製作

On October 22, 2024, students from Jhutang Elementary School went on a fun field trip to Erlin Senior High School. They joined a Woodworking Workshop and made their own punk robot keychains.

First, the teacher showed robot designs and explained what makes punk robots special. The students learned how wood and metal can be used together to create cool robots.

Then, the students got to work! They used wood, screws, and metal parts to build their robots. After putting the parts together, they painted and decorated their creations with gears and wires.

At the end, everyone showed their finished robots and shared their ideas. It was a fun day, and the students were proud of their handmade robots!

2024年10月22日，竹塘國小的學生參加了一次有趣的校外教學，前往二林高中。他們參加了一場木工工作坊，並親手製作了自己的朋克風機器人鑰匙圈。首先，老師展示了機器人的設計，並說明了朋克機器人的特別之處。學生們學習到木頭和金屬如何結合，打造出酷炫的機器人。接著，學生們開始動手製作！他們使用木頭、螺絲和金屬零件來組裝自己的機器人。組裝完成後，還用齒輪和電線進行上色與裝飾。最後，大家展示了自己完成的機器人，並分享了創作想法。這真是愉快的一天，學生們都為自己親手製作的機器人感到驕傲！
